As we approach year-end, I hope you are taking some well-deserved time off work, whether you are still in the corporate world or not.
Time to renew and refresh is important, and many feel that Christmas is a time for rebirth.
We can certainly view it that way.
If you were to “start over” in 2019, how would you like your life to look by the end of the year? Whether you set goals or intentions or have some other way of focusing your efforts on the upcoming year I want you to know that you are not alone. Corporate Hostage, No More! is going to focus this upcoming year on helping you create your best year ever — so far, anyway.
And it is my firm belief that you can’t live your BEST life if you are not doing work you love, that you find meaningful and fulfilling, in an environment that supports and nurtures you.
For some, this means changing jobs, or creating a business, or working for a non-profit, or volunteering, or being a full-time parent. All of these are valuable and meaningful options, and only you know which one your soul is calling you to do.
This year my plan is to help you dig deep and discover, for you, what type of work you will find the most meaningful to you — because — when you do work you love it is so much easier to make improvements in all areas of your life.
And if you’ve already left the corporate world, whether you are in your own business, retired, or taking a break, the things I will be teaching and sharing with you this year will be helpful as well.
As we approach the new year keep in mind that every day we wake up we get the opportunity to create a new life for ourselves, through the decisions we make and the actions we take. Big changes start with very small steps, taken one at a time, that over time result in big change.
I never recommend that someone quit their job without prior planning and preparation. While that strategy has worked for a minority of people, more often it results in unneeded stress and sometimes financial disaster.
One of the lessons we need to master during times of change is patience. Slowing down often results in the quickest and best results, even though that sounds very counterintuitive.
So come with me on this journey this year.
Part of what I’ll be offering is my weekly podcast show which I’ve been producing for five years now (holy cow — it’s been five years since I started my podcast show — I must love my work because it feels like yesterday). There is a lot of helpful information in past episodes and there will be even more in the upcoming year.
To ensure you never miss any of this information, sign up HERE to be notified when a new weekly episode has been released. Simply enter your first name and email address under my photo on the right side of the page.
Also, I am actively trying to help more corporate hostages, so if there is someone you know that could benefit from being part of this community, please share this email with them. They can get a copy of our FREE “Escape to Freedom Checklist” HERE and will receive email notifications of future blog posts.
Thank you in advance for helping me to spread the word.
This will be my last blog post for the year as I’m taking some well-deserved time off to enjoy the holidays.
Let me close by letting you know how grateful I am to have you here as a part of this growing community. I wish you and yours a happy holiday season and a time of transformational rebirth for you in the coming year. Together, let’s create some miracles in 2019. Are you ready? If so, let me know in the comments below.
